Title: Noisy nights in Ovacik

How are you effected by the noisy music etc coming from the facilities in Ovacik ? Can you sit in your garden and relax in a quite atmosphere ?  Is everybody happy or do other Ovacik residents ( like us )  feel disturbed by loud noises coming from many directions ?

Just read in LOL that the Mayor has got involved in this problem and will impose fines of anything from 19,000 to 60,000 lira for establishments breaking the rules on noise. Hopefully your problem will go away soon.

I hope so Rimms , I read the same news on Oludeniz Post 2 weeks ago. However no progress yet. I'm afraid there are some they don't want to touch , especially hotels. The same episode every year. The Belediye is not serious enough I think.

Quite agree about noisy nights. One restaurant and bar play their music from 12.30am until sometimes 2am.They are trying to pull people in who maybe walking backto their hotel from hisaronu but there is never anyone in there. Same thing last year told the Gendarma twice in one night and they said we will come in 10 mins but music carried on. Is anyone getting sewerage smells in the night

I think this issue is taken more seriously down in Fethiye. Yesterday I saw billboards calling for a quiet environment and a phone number given for complaints. At the next communal elections , there will be one belediye for all Fethiye , I read ; this may help solving the noise problem of the Ölüdeniz area.
