We miss Tevik and Emrah is in the army. Abu is the best waiter there now. Most ex pats as you call us!! don't go much in the Summer. We have other things to do but it is always full of holiday makers. Don't forget MR. CALIS is working there...

we got back from Calis in mid-june and had tried the Nil twice: perhaps we were unlucky. First night the organisers of the Carnival were having a celebratory dinner and their head honcho was making a speech for far too long with too many Er's in it, the second they were having a quiz night(too much like the UK for us). To me Angel was much too 'in our faces' and overly affectionate for a first meeting. It does seem very popular with the Brits(perhaps it's too Anglicised for us) but the food was nothing out of the ordinary from what we ate. George's food is better and other restaurants match it comfortably. By the way, if you want a real fillet steak try the Megri in Fethiye: the best I've had for a number of years in Turkey. We're back in September and will try the Nil again, maybe we were a bit unlucky in June.
