Now that president Gul has signed the new alcohol law into being I'm wondering how it will effect the 3 supermarkets in Kaya? They are all within 100 metres of the mosque and I know one sells alcohol not sure about the others.
What about the advertising a round the local bars and restaurants? I'm not there at present (will be back in October) so looking forward to hearing what happens and how it effects the locals.

Just found this - from 2008!
Makes interesting reading considering its 5 years old and I know of one or two bars that probably do not have a licence to sell alcohol 'out of the packaging'. Seems the law hasn't been enforced in some areas.
