Just met someone who paid 500 lira for a 6foot high Christmas tree (does have a live root though). It is a lovely tree. I know that they are expensive but am surprised that trees cost quite that amount.

Just got one from the big garden centre on the Gunlukbasi road near the junction with the Dalaman road from 50tl to 150tl

Anyone who pays that must have more money than sense :o

It would need to have plenty of sparkle at that price, diamonds, saphires to name but a few! :D

Can you still get a decent looking artificial ones anywhere?

Hi there, we just got a new artifical tree from the new I-design shop, next door to Citlembik.
Julide, the owner has a contact and you can pick from about five pages of trees. There is also a varied selection of colours even orange if that floats your boat!!!
It was ordered one day and would have been here the next if it wasn't for Bayram!
Anyway, we're really pleased with our tree!

I bought a small (3ft) live tree...Golden lemon scented Conifer. It's not a traditional Christmas tree but it looks cute with the decorations on. I paid 10 lira at a small nursery near Turk Telekom.
