i think thats about 7 or 8 pence a unit
compare it with english rates and see how much more you pay for electric
our last bill was 70ytl for 2months full time use of 3bed villa with pool
not bad, 28£

i hope this information will help you.

here are the official prices given at the following link: http://www.tedas.gov.tr/tarifeler_xls/2005_trf/ocak2005trf.xls
but since all the list is in turkish i took the most important part for home owners.

the price 0.1278 is for standart power meters during all day.
according to your needs, if you get a "smart power meter" you will have different rates during day. between 17h till 22h it is 0,20135. between 22h to 06h it is 0.0613 and between 06h to 17h it is 0.115. i am not sure but i think any tax is not included in these prices and they are kW/h.

thanks for that it confirms my calculation based on the 3 rate digital meter.

Electricity 7am - 5pm kw/h 0.14YTL = approx 6p Per unit
Electricity 5pm - 10pm kw/h 0.22YTL =approx 9p Per unit
Electricity 10pm - 7am kw/h 0.08YTL =approx 3p Per unit

this includes all taxes.
