Just finished Reading this on kindle. The 1996 diary of an American couple Karen and Ray Gilden who have the opportunity to rent an apartment for a year in Gocek. A lovely read no surprise that they loved Turkey and makes a light hearted read. Wonderful. They have a website which has some of the photographs from the diary on the website. Enjoy

Yes, it's tricky and you don't get much milk out of one.

Book sounds great.
Keiths comment reminded me of an advert many years ago
The man had a northern accent and sad ' you ever tried ....... a ...? They don't like it.'
Really bugging me now.
It might have been stuffing a pig? Something like that.

I love books like that, do you remember Driving over lemons, or something like that, I remember just wanting a new lifestyle & giving it a go. So inspirational. Will add yours to my never ending wishlist. Still on Birds without wings and looking out for Turkish Family
