Just relating what hapened to me and Kaz yesterday.
We were due to pick up our Tapu today, but had and urgent call at 1530 yesterday afternoon to meet our builder outside the Tapu office in Fethiye. The problem we were told was, that if we did not pick up our Tapu before 1700 yesterday, we would not be able to pick it up for at least three months and possibly up to eight months, as no more Tapu's would be issued to non Turkish people. We were also told this is a Turkey wide instruction.
We made it by the skin of our teeth, 1700 exactly when it was handed over. This was also made a bit quicker as our builder had to "pay" the official.
Anybody else heard anyhing about this?
