Plenty more short fuses. Actually in the resorts not a lot changes - the Turkish won't be eating or drinking (well, most of them) but for the bar and restaurants, life goes on the same. I would say that if you go out of the main tourist areas, be careful and don't eat or drink in public view - it might be viewed as disrespectful. Another thing that I didn't know at first - fasting means consuming anything, so be careful outside the tourist areas if you are a smoker.

Those fasting particularly smokers will be more stressed than usual as the daylight hours will be about 15 in August without even water passing their lips in the Summer heat.

pack your ear-plugs, unless you enjoy being woken up at 3.00 in the morning !!  Personally, i love it, we throw the windows wide and listen to the drummer walking around the village.  And....just as drift back to sleep the dawn chorus begins, starting with the donkeys, cockerels and scooters......wonderful [^] :)
