Title: Lifting ebooks from Kindle

would be very interested to know how to lift the ebooks from hubbies kindle. i bought a few for myself and I cant get them off to read on my device. i have calibre and manage my library well with that and can put my books onto his kindle but not the other way round. thanks in advance.

If you download Calibre you can use this to manage your ebooks and transfer from one device to another. You can also convert to almost all the different formats that ebook readers use. You can get Calibre at the following link (its free) : http://calibre-ebook.com/download_windows

Thanks guys. I have and use calibre all the time to change formats and transfer from my device, which only reads text format to hubbies paperwhite kindle. What I cant do is break the DRM code which some of the books have. Our son also has some books that he would like to share with us , but again they are DRM "protected"

There are plenty of DRM removal programs available, I've posted a link below that tells you how to incorporate DRM removal into Calibre....
