Title: Kumsal pide
Post by: BernieTeyze on June 09, 2017, 23:09:01 PM
I suppose it had to happen sometime..My meal tonight was truly awful. I even asked had they changed chefs..Alas no.just a crap meal
Rice overcooked full of starch and those bits that go in it we're raw.The chicken casserole was chewy too. I have been eating there for years and always enjoyed their extensive menu. What a shame, I'm disappointed.

Rice .... those bits that go in it were raw.

It's called Orzo. It's pasta. It's lightly fried before being boiled with the rice.

The small bits are called Şehriye pasta but many different varieties, always cooked in the same way though. Fried off first as (kkob said) untill beige in colour, before adding rice. Probably they haven't bothered to do this and would definitely spoil the rice i agree Bernie.

It is in Oludeniz and when people on other Forums who are staying in Oludeniz ask where they can get genuine Turkish Food they are always advised to go to this place.

It is at the furthest end of the beach on the sea front. Usually a lot of Turkish families go there,as well as tourists. We have been visiting there from our first time in olu. Never had a bad meal before. Was peed off as we had visitors with us and had raved about it. Luckily, only my meal and their rice was crap.

It is the one and only place that tourists, when asking where to go to get a Turkish meal in Oludeniz are sent to.
