If you want one in Turkey.  We bought  one last year in Kipa, Calis Beach.   Think it was around £35.00.

Bernie,   Phil compared a lot of printes  and ink and he decided that printers were cheap and ink is expensive in Turkey.  We have not bought ink yet, but Phil says he would buy it in the U.K.

On another note, saying  please is always appreciated.   ;)  ;)  ;)

Epson, if you are ok with "compatible" cartridges. You can also choose to refill empty cartridges by buying ink and refilling yourself - but I find I can't be bothered, with Epson the ready to go cartridges are plenty cheap enough.

Yes in Turkey   :) the problem is that when we fly with Turkish Airlines you can only do online check in from 24 hours before your flight and I cant be bothered hunting around on my last day for some one with a printer

Ours is an H.P. Desk Jet 2301.  It is just a basic printer.  We bought it last year for the same reason, to print off boarding passes, as we stay for a month and with the Airline we used, they only let you print two weeks in advance.  However, this time, with the Airiline we used,  we were able to print off boarding passes before we left.
We have used the printer for other stuff.

One problem to be wary of is that infrequent use of the printer could allow the ink to dry out. I had to print and re scan a load of documents over here last week and it was a real pain. Fortunately the local hotel we have lunch at a few times each visit did the honors and were only too pleased to help.

You could consider a cheap mono laser printer to combat this. Lasers use toner rather than ink which is a dry powder so no problems with ink drying out or printheads clogging.

Don't know about prices in Turkey but you can now pick one up for less than £60 in the UK.

We had not used ours since October, but it worked fine last month.  However, thanks for the tip, will take some ink over with us next time.
Update,  Phil says it was £30.00 and it came with an ink cartridge.
