Title: England v Australia RL World Cup final
Post by: daveG on December 02, 2017, 15:18:53 PM
Nearly but not quite there yet, Aussies still rule after a tough gritty performance by England who restricted them to a solitary try. Both teams gave everything they had and more!! There will, be some sore bodies and suspect the Aussies sore heads in the morning after celebrating their
6-0 escape.

Disappointed with the result but not the effort today. Ok, if they'd cut out a few of the errors it could have been a different story but it wasn't the thrashing many were predicting and the Aussies were made to battle for their world crown in a tough, tight match. Not quite there but you can hold your heads high.

Difference today would appear to have been an absolutely brilliant tap tackle.

Or a lucky one!   ;)  But yes, agonising to have to watch things like that come off, especially in such a big game.  :(

Taking this performance a step further and it will be interesting to see if the improvement can be sustained into the November series with New Zealand and whether our Aussie coach will still be part of the England set up.
