warning _ walking home
« on: June 17, 2007, 11:44:11 AM »
Last night our step daughter and her friends were attacked on their way home, it was approx 3am and 3 of them were walking home, 2 men were involved from what I know 1 was working as look out and 1 was exposing himself and grabbed my daughters friend. The girls tried to fight them off and luckliy 2 guys on mopeds can towards them and scared them off and the girls run off.

Ladies be very careful _ get a taxi home!

The girls are fine and we have told them to go to the police
They are a bit shaken but luckily are very level headed

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL

The girls are fine shaken but fine
My main concern is that some else might not be and how far will these 2 individuls will go - the girls in question are 21, level headed and do not take undue risks.

I think the police should patrol more. They are always sat in the police station in Fethiye drinking tea.It is getting a reputation for being a bit risky.

I was walking home with my mum and sister one night. And we were getting followed by a moped up the road and then two policemen on bikes drove from out from nowhere (well the bushes actually!!???) and scared them off. The only thing is the place we were staying was just around the corner so it's not worth getting a taxi. The next few nights around the same time the police were protrolling the area - so that was reassuring to see!! But it's the same as anywhere in the world just be careful and don't walk by yourself - If you are going quite a distance get a taxi or a friend to give you a lift .x.

The girls had been out at B52's and were walking home - about a 10/12 min walk home. It was about 1/2 way when it happened.
The police were very good & thanks to Iris & Bayram of Daisy Bar who translated for the girls & the police.
The police said they thought they may have been turkish visitors to the area though I am not convinced about this.
There were 3 girls walking together home, all live in London (if fact Louise has just spent 3 years at Liverpool university) and are quite street wise.

The girls or ladies I should say did not let it spoil their holiday & spent their last night dining at Sat.
