Is there a new policy for new member name 'registrations'[?]

I tend to have a look at the profile of new members, recently lots of new members seem to have 'weird' names/numbers and in their profiles this name is repeated twice as their 'real name' [?]

I just thought it was odd  :-\

Ah, thanks for the reminder - I have deleted today's, like I have for the last week.

I can only guess that they are trying to get their website link onto CBF (there is always a website link in their profile) - somewhere in the World on a website someone must have suggested this as a way to get links from snitz forums.

Search engines like small sites that are linked to from big ones - they are wasting their time here, I delete the lot.

Neither am I; I used to have a narrowboat on the canal system hence the login name.

My son is called Jamie, but all of his mates call him Jimbob.  My daughter Emily always registers herself at Embob, so I decided to be Julesbob (hubby calls me Jules)!  The 0303 is my birthday - 3rd March!  Simple!

Mine is a spelling mistake to start with, scunner pointed it out! We are shameless2 for the simple reason John looks like Frank Gallagher!!! And acts like him.[:(!] I want to change my log in name now because of the comparisons made to Karen Matthews and her family in Dewsberry. The Gallaghers at least love and look after their children.

As you know Laffa Crabbit is a Scottish word defined as follows:

"Scot. dialect  [adj] even-tempered, cheerful, thoughtful, agreeable, in a good mood (all of the time no matter what befalls him)

[n] (see crab) one who by their nature or temperament conveys an aura of serenity"

Forum name couldn't have come from that then :)
