Hotel Ernur doesn't appear to be open at the moment but they should be sometime this month.

Pete, have you seen Cemal lately? His wife should have now given birth to their second child? I hope Celal will still be there when we come over in September. If you see him pleasse say we send our regards.

Do you know we pass this place almost nightly when we're over yet never think to go in.
How is their food?  Is it worth eating there, or just stopping for a cold Efes or 3?

Anne, for the last couple of years they have had a goog chef called Zekki, the food is good quality and value for money but from a fairly basic menu. We would tend to take friends to the Palms but would use the Ernur if we wanted to stay local for our tea. They also do a good breakfast, both English & Turkish and run a quiz night once a week.

In answer to the previous postings from Rimms and Anne, I have seen Celal to speak to and he has been 'caretaking' of the hotel in off season and says that the plan is to be open sometime this month. I have only seen Cemal from a distance only to wave to but if he is now father of two I wish them all well!
Anne, if you walk by the Ernur on the way home and it is open, it would be a lovely place to stop for a 'nightcap' or 'yoluk'! I have always found it to be a very friendly place even though it is  'out of the way'
Serefe!

We have also eaten in the Ernur and the food was good. The owner (if it was Cemal)was very friendly,we said we have an apt at Lemon 4 (just nearby)and he said if he could  help us in anyway just ask.I hope he has a good season.

Sounds like it's time we stopped off for a visit then.  It's more or less a straight 'stagger' home to Violet
