Why would anyone change money with a guy who touts for business outside a bloody clothes shop? A clothes shop wedged between a number of banks too. Mrs. Scunner changes money at one of the banks, I use the Dikmen change shop, and if we are in Calis I only ever use the Onur silver shop opposite Maria's. I have done for years and have never had any incidents, I send everyone who asks there, and although his rate may not quite as good as the Fethiye banks and change shops it is reasonable and you get what you thought you would get without lousy tricks.

Hi all,we have always used(for the last 6 visits)the nice old fella in the shed who now has the mado ice cream place.Have introduced him to many of the freinds we've met in calis, and never heard a bad word.
He has now moved on from shaking hands with me to kisses... :-\ and always given a decent rate.

Living here, we rarely need to change money as we always work in YTL, but on the odd occasion we have a bit of sterling that needs changing we always go to the TEB bank, as there rates have always seemed one of the best.

I can't see the problem - if you are given the exchange rate and count what you are given, how can you be swindled ? The guy in the clothes shop normally gives a good rate and you don't have to queue up, that's why we use him.

That's exactly what we think as well GrantT, we've been using him for around 4 years now, no problems, we count it out and check the figures on a calculator.
