Would you need your air con regasing on your car? No not unless maybe a stone went through the radiator. How many times have you had your fridge regassed? I personally have never had to have mine done. The principle is the same. Yes the filters do need cleaning, but i very much doubt your air needs regasing twice a year if at all!
