I left the new "Central Calis Boulevard" at 2pm today and from the Dolphin roundabout they'd just got as far as our office - looks like they've been flying since. The photo's give you an idea but the reality is even better - once it's completed and cleaned it will look superb.

Then we'll all sit in bars along there with a drink in one hand and a tear in one eye, discussing how quaint it used to look in the good old days  ;)

Keith, is this the main road from the Dolphin roundabout up to Gunlukbasi?  Sorry I'm so dumb!

Don't worry, you can't help it  ;)

No, it is the Dolphin Roundabout down to the sea end (bridge end).

It looks great.  Keith, the reason I was confused about it being the Gunlukbasi road (from the dolphin roundabout) was because I thought the forum office had been moved to near Aydin Pide (can't spell it, but the food's great!)  When you said about looking out from your office onto the new road, I wrongly assumed you were already in your new pad!  So sorry!

John, you are right about the speed of the turkish roadworkers.  I have just looked back at the original photos when the road looked like the beach had appeared - mounds of dusty stuff everywhere!  This was less than a week ago.  Amazing!

Magnificent and huge though the CBF forum is, I haven't found a need for it to have an office yet :D

The new office is indeed to near Aydin Pide (you spelt it right  :) ) but the 'old' office is is there. I trust that confirms everything, Julie & Bob  ;)

Flipping heck - no wonder I'm confused (and dumb!).  Sorry, I've just realised that the "office" is the estate agents and NOT the forum office.  Stupid me - it just follows a conversation I had in the chat room one evening about the "office".  Guess I had too much wine that night, and it confused the brain.  Thanks for clearing that up!  Julie and GARRY (no Bob in my life, I'm afraid!)
