Doing some research before I part with my hard earned cash and interestingly I find out that the last 5 years (27 April 2003 until 27 April 2008) has seen the YTL performance:

High: 3.12330
Low: 2.21760
Average: 2.56435

Todays rate on the same fx website is shown as: 2.56410

It looks pretty average times to me - but will current issues with AK Party and Suspension of Property Sales to Foreigners see any weakening of the position????
