if its the place i'm thinking of,its gorgeous.very turkish ,fairly quiet.theres another bay next door called Katerangi(bad spelling).thats even nicer with a big water slide and a little cafe.its on a turkish camp site (very traditional)we thought it was great Sue.They are both on the Dalaman road just past the sign for Tuana Majesty resort on the left hand side.

If it is the plAce I am thinking of, be sure that children especially take some water proof shoes as there are quite a few creepy crawlers on the beach including sea urchins. A prick from one of those is difficult to remove and hurts!
It is well worth a visit.

The other beach with slide etc is Katranchi. It's just after Yaniklar and is about 20 mins by Dolmus from Gunlukbasi. There is a good, not too expensive, cafe along with free showers and loos. It is our favourite beach. The sea shelves very gently and 50 metres out it's only about 1 metre deep, hence great for kids.
As well as the Dolmus from Fethiye via Gunlukbasi I think one goes from the Calis terminus.

there is a better beach in fethiye that not many know about.its better than calis beach with lots of private bbq areas.resturant and plenty places just to chill out.get the bus outside the bank heading towards the boat yards and its the last stop.the views over fethiye are fantastic and you wont get the hassle that you get from the staff trying to get you into the bars like they do in places like hisaronu calis and paspatur.
