« on: May 03, 2008, 12:46:05 PM »
hi again everyone, i know this is a subject we all dont like to think about but has anyone ever considered funeral arrangements here in turkey we all know what happens here when we depart this lovely paradise for the next i am in touch with a rep from a company in the uk who is offering funeral plans here in turkey which will be carried in the uk style and all that goes with it if a person wishes to remain here all will be taken care of with a weeks grace for any loved ones to get here  if a person wishes to be expatriated back to the uk all will be taken care of again to a destination of your choice  prices are pretty reasonable and payment plans are available the rep is coming back to turkey in 4-5 weeks if anyone would like to discuss these plans with him please email me with your  name and number etc and i will pass it on to him

Thanks very much for the info.  Food for thought.  I am sure a lot of the people reading this simply don't know what to say.  They, like me, would need to consider this before doing anything.

Please let us know what you find out.  People may be interested to contact this rep once they have considered how they feel.

Plantum and hoppit are cheaper, but try to find the grave afterwards, no chance. Alan

i think this is a serious and relavent post
everyone is going to die
unless you have a living licence you cannot be buried here in turkey
everyone complains about the price of flights
so it is expensive to die in turkey and then be flow out to out uk for services
so any imput about costs and who to contact are handy to know
i think a friend paid about 5000£ to put her partner to rest.

Yes it is a serious topic - sorry I am always suspicious of new members who suddenly start advertising a someone's business.

caza, if I do you an injustice then I apologise but the rule with advertising on the forum is that it's pretty much OK as long as you declare any interest that you have in it (ie do you get paid for the leads etc) and then it is put in the relevant section (services).

If the person who runs the business has a website you are more then welcome to post it on the forum. I'm sure there will be much interest amongst the ex-pats.
