my gardner reckons that because we have a place in the gunlukbasi area and permit to live there on our tapu that we are entitled to a plot in the local cemetary,on other threads i have read that we cant get buried in turkey does anyone know which is true.ive always told the missus that if i go before her, iwant half my ashes sprinkling on my dads grave and the other half of the bridge at calis, because ialways seem to smile when i cross that bridge it means we are home.

There's a separate section for "Yabanci" in the cemetery at the top of the hill on the road from Fethiye into Ovacik.

Hi, I've been told that you have to ask permission from the local Belediye (?) to be buried in the local cemetary.  I assume you do this before you peg it!

Or, your relatives ask if you've been inconsiderate enough to die before asking permission !

How inconsiderate of some people to die without permission,i want a plot at the back of my house on the hill so i can check if my wife has got that bloody aircon on again with all the windows and doors open samme as she does with the central heating in England.
