can anyone tell me where I could get a detailed tourist map of calis giving restaurant, bars  & apartments names on it, just would like to know where all the places are you recommend on the forum so I can plan my intinery/pub crawl when I come over in July  thanks Diana

Hi Diana. If you put "maps" into the search engine you will get loads of references. However I cannot recall one with the detail that you are looking for. If there is one I'd like it myself.

go to the home page and at the top there's a link to a map not the best but if you copy it you can add street details yourself.

Your right - its rubbish - we will need something a little more detailed if we want to add shops/restaurants

Redding43, how about an immage from google earth, they seem to be quite detailed.

If someone tells me what area to cover on this map, I'll pull all the images off google earth (with street names overlaid) and then someone can add all the points of interest.
Once done, I'll host it ona bit of webspace I have.
