What a crazy few hours we've just had! on the way back from Fethiye, I slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting what I at first though was a cat on the kanal bank, now ,our little car has a full length Webasto sunroof, and the next thing I know, I've got a bloody MONKEY in the car, (came through the open roof), and Loz screaming blue bloody murder at me, to "get that bloody thing out of the car"
!
It was quite happily sitting on the rear seat, until we turned into our driveway, when it leapt out, had a hug at Loz's leg, then proceeded to do what monkeys do, climbed all over the house, our neighbours house, up every tree in our gardens. All our Turkish neighbours and their kids were trying to catch the little beggar, uh, uh, TOO DAMN SMART for that. Loz ended up hand feeding apples to him,and had him climbing on to her head and giving her a good old scratch.
After a couple of hours, a young Turkish couple arrived, the lady, with a huge smile on her face, called out "Pasha", whereupon the monkey ran straight to her, and jumped up and tucked himself DOWN HER JUMPER!:
Hmmm,I wonder. Anyway, alls well that ends well, at least it looked as if he was quite happy to see his owners.
Loz did phone Yetkin before, to see if he knew anyone we could call,(authorities, etc.)When she told him we had a monkey in our garden, he thought she meant one of Mr. Scunners twins
