More monkey business in Loz's garden!!
« on: May 15, 2008, 18:11:23 PM »
What a crazy few hours we've just had! on the way back from Fethiye, I slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting what I at first though was a cat on the kanal bank, now ,our little car has a full length Webasto sunroof, and the next thing I know, I've got a bloody MONKEY in the car, (came through the open roof), and Loz screaming blue bloody murder at me, to "get that bloody thing out of the car" 8)!

It was quite happily sitting on the rear seat, until we turned into our driveway, when it leapt out, had a hug at Loz's leg, then proceeded to do what monkeys do, climbed all over the house, our neighbours house, up every tree in our gardens. All our Turkish neighbours and their kids were trying to catch the little beggar, uh, uh, TOO DAMN SMART for that. Loz ended up hand feeding apples to him,and had him climbing on to her head and giving her a good old scratch.
After a couple of hours, a young Turkish couple arrived, the lady, with a huge smile on her face, called out "Pasha", whereupon the monkey ran straight to her, and jumped up and tucked himself DOWN HER JUMPER!: :) Hmmm,I wonder. Anyway, alls well that ends well, at least it looked as if he was quite happy to see his owners.

Loz did phone Yetkin before, to see if he knew anyone we could call,(authorities, etc.)When she told him we had a monkey in our garden, he thought she meant one of Mr. Scunners twins :o

Loz will put piccies on.
Gordy.

Never a dull moment!
I thought it was a large cat hopping along I didnt know whether to shut the car roof or the windows, by the time I made up my mind it had jumped through the window, onto my shoulder then sat itself on the back shelf, we drove home, into the drive, I jumped out of the car. followed closely by the monkey! cuddling my leg it was obviously a pet, well looked after, very tame, (best offer this month!)

Who do you phone that can speak Turkish yet understand the English language, and get help?  Yetkin, WRONG!

Me  "Yetkin, listen carefully, we have a monkey in our garden"

Yetkin  "Which one, Robyn?"

I gave the phone to gordon, obviously he was not taking me seriously,  :D

Now who else can you phone for help?  Kayakoyoldboy.
Jen his wife must have thought now what animal are we getting now ;)

Alan I promise the next monkey we get you can have, he arrives 26th May from Gatwick!
