Recent Abducted Child in Fethiye Topic

I have removed this thread following contact from the UK that suggests the claims made were wildly inaccurate. The claim that the child has been illegally abducted from the UK seemed acceptable enough but now is not reliable information.

It is not easy to know what to do for the best - but given that the original post claimed that the mother had committed a crime and could face unwanted attention from people locally, hoping to do their bit - I feel that the new information received suggests that the poor girl (and child) should be left alone.

I am also informed that a court case will take place in future and in these situations it is not possible for anyone, including the 'other side' to make public comment or correct any inaccuracies in the original post.

So that's that.

I am one of those people who think that there is such a thing as too much media attention and publicity (as in the McCann case) and that it is not always helpful. In fact it can be very unhelpful. There is something to be said for quiet diplomacy and due process though I do understand that the 'aggrieved' parent may think differently. So I am pleased Keith has removed this thread and I wish for concillitation and a satisfactory resolution for all parties, in the privacy of their relationship.

Always best to listen to both sides of the story if possible.

Best move Keith
