Hiya

Me again to test you wise people!  We are going with another family to Calis so need to keep in touch with them as we are not staying close by to each other.  We have been advised to buy a Turkish Sim card and use it in an old phone that is open to all networks.  Would you agree?  If so can I get one before I travel to Turkey and where from?

Thanx in advance folks

Sarah

Hi Sarah
We use Turkish sim cards - you can buy them easily in any phone shop - depends exactly where you're staying as to the nearest one. I don't know of anywhere you can buy them in the UK but maybe another member will....

You will need a good turkish dictionary or freind to understand the deals - there is usually a friendly person to explain. If you come and go from Turkey, you may find you have to buy more credit to re-activate your account on the network if you've been away for a while
Best wishes

Jac

If its just for use on this holiday only I would try just using an old phone from the uk rather than buy a Turkish one. put in a Turkish sim & hope it doesn't get cut off. If it doesnt get cut off during your stay you are in luck
