Thanks Keith, good information there.  I've lost count of the times we've been cut off

To start with you will need to be in range of Turkcell, ie here in Turkey I think, as you need to get your password first.
After that, yes plain sailing via the internet.
Well I tried yesterday to top up and after receiving the password I went online to enter details, only to be told my password had expired. I tried to renew my password then, but it didn't respond until I was out in town.  When I got to my computer again I entered the new password and guess what....."your password has expired"...LOL
Anyone else tried this?

I was quite exited about this - I got a "super password" when out last week, and just like Tel who posted above, when I entered the password now I am back in the UK, it said "Password expired".
Has anyone actually been able to use this facility succesfully?

Eureka!!!!
In an idle moment, I went into the Turkcell site again and clicked on "buy units".  And there it was!  A simple form allowing me to buy units by credit card.  No pins, no superpins - no nothing.
I had to go through the palaver of the credit card secure code but then it was apparently successful (I say apparent because there was a message in Turkish in the final window, but it wasn't in red or look threatening).  I guess I won't know if it was successful until I get back there on 26th Sept but, fingers crossed, it looks like you can now simply buy units without all that unnecessary complication.
