I agree a lot with what you are saying apart from the working illegally bit. If you are working here without permission then you are taking a job from a Turk. This isnt viewed very well considering the high unemployment.

Yes that is true Starman. I agree with you. But if schools are prepared to take on illegal teachers then the problem lies in the hands of the schools not with the teacher seeking a job.

Linda, it states clearly on the visa when you enter Turkey that employment is forbidden. Any teacher should realise that and know all too well that they can not work without permission. Teachers are just as much to blame as the schools themselves.
