Skype transmission
« on: January 21, 2010, 08:20:26 AM »
We have just moved from Calis Beach to Ciftlik and have found that the quality of transmission on Skype calls has really deteriorated, using a Vodafone dongle.  Does anyone else have this problem in the Ciftlik area?  Transmission from Calis Beach was excellent.  Advice please,

June

Skype is up and down most days wherever you are. Great reception here today in York but Tuesday was rubbish.

Here in Patlangic, in nearly 2 years of using Skype, I can honestly say in that time, I have made only one call that you could call decent.

http://www.nimbuzz.com/en/

It's an application for mobiles and lets me use my skype account with my phone. Not sure if all phones can use it but it works well on my Nokia 5800.

I'm a big fan of Skype - rarely have a problem that isn't to do with me, my computer or the weather, anyway...

this may be of interest as you can make free calls to landlines in a number of countries and this includes Turkey
