Ipod Touch/Skype

Anyone managed to use Skype using a microphone/speaker on their Ipod Touch to speak from Turkey to the UK?  If so, what's the quality like? Can't see a problem but want to check before investing in one.
Thanks
x

I had a HP ipaq which did the same thing - wifi connection = skype connection if you load the software.

Personally for the price you pay for one I would go for a wifi phone. I bought the Nokia 5800 for £190 at Tesco and I get perfect Skype on it when I get a connection - just use it like a phone. It also comes with a 8 gig memory card for all your music/pics etc. It has a standard headphone socket like the ipod and a 3.2 mp camera with flash. It also come with free voice assisted sat nav (just free from last week for the life of the phone and has most country maps) You can also download lots of apps just like the iphone.

Oh - and it's a mobile phone as well - so one less thing to carry in your handbag ;)

We did this last year as the kids both took their ipods with us on holiday. Just used Wi Fi connections in resturants or out on street if unlocked. Worked fine for us, will be using them again this year. Still use it now in the house saves being hooked up to the computer.  8)

Hi

Thanks for your replies.  Am now going to find where the cheapest place is to get one from.
Stoop...it's a shame it doesn't have a mirror and lipstick holder.  My handbag is weighing me down  :):D

No roaming charges if you have found a wifi connection.
