The last time I was in Turkey you could not use Turkcell Simm Cards in unlocked UK phones, it was disabled in a short time.
Is this still the case, we are returning next month and I would like to use my unlocked Blackberry.

sure is unless you register your card, will last approx 1 week, you will need to take your passport with you, any of the phone shops will do it but find vodafone the best out of the lot

Thanks for this, how long does registration take, last time I attempted it they wanted about 2 weeks.

it doesn't take long , but i think you have to go to the main turkcell shop near the police station in Fethiye.( we did) It costs 30tl for the sim card and 5tl to register it.....
