From 1 April 2011, residence permits for Irish citizens will be free of charge, though a charge will still apply on the purchase of the residence permit booklet.

Residence permits are not free of charge for all foreign nationals, so Irish citizens may find that they have to insist that this is the case when they apply for their permits.


You can see all those irate Irish Folk trying to argue this fact with the customs men at Fethiye.....lol
