We will be coming to Calis/Fethiye next week can anyone tell me what the situation is regards the availability of Champagne in the shops or bars. Dizzie and i like to chill with a decent bottle every now and then and seeing as its our first proper holiday together we thought we would make the most of it.
Cheers.

Best to get it in duty free, probably at the UK end. If you can find it in shops in Turkey it will either be 1. Genuine (hellish expensive) or 2. A local version (hellish).

Hope that helps.

bigfoot - Mr Pookie and I like a bubbly tipple every trip (its a tradition now we can't break  ;):D).  We always buy at Duty Free and bring out.  After several years of searching for something remotely acceptable (£ or taste) in Turkey, we have given up.  (same applies if you like a nice port  ;)).
