What to dand where to book fethiye
« on: October 23, 2011, 09:45:14 AM »
Hi staying at letoonia

What should i do with wife and two kids 11 and 7
Is the jeep safari good and what about the 12 islands?
Is it best to book on site and private kiosks  or outsideof hotel.
Need to think about the travel to town though.

Cheers
kerry

At Letoonia they give new people a talk on the area and what to do, they then sell you trips.(which you can do yourself if you wish)
Take a look at what is on off at Letoonia and make up your mind where to go.  The 12 island boat trip might be a bit of a long day for a 7 year old.   It you go to the harbour in Fethiye, where the Letoonia water taxi drops you off (or just get off the dolmus and walk) you can walk along all the boats and see what trips are on offer, and book at the boat you like, best to do it on the day or the day before as the time of year you are going can mean that trips are dependant on the weather.
I would not advise the jeep safari for young children. Again it's a long day and it's jeeps chasing each other and passengers firing water pistols.  A lot of the jeeps have no seat belts and you are often in an open top vehicle all day.  Take a look at this

If you can, before you go to Letoonia ask for a chalet near the restaurants as some have a lot of steps up to them. Great going down, but tiring for a 7 year old coming back.

Cadianda Tours in Calis still had them advertised yesterday. But maybe they are not running as often as during the main season

I have heard that some boat trips and tours are running, weather permitting as it's the English half term holidays.
