Virus in Kalkan, just in case anyone is thinking of visiting.

There has been a sickness bug in Kalkan lately, with lots of tourists going down ill.  It has been reported on T.A. and some people thought it was food poisioning. However, it seems to be down to the water.

Seems the problem is not resolved and the illness is Giardiasis which doesn not sound very nice.   https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giardiasis
We usually have a trip down to that area, but think we will not bother this year. 
There are a lot of complaints on T.A. from people who are in Kalkan (or have been) that they have been ill.  Some people who have contacted Thomsons wanting to move their holiday,have told  that Thomson's have heard nothing about illness. 
Sounds just like the Sensatori F.B. pages... Anything place that Thomson's send people has to be Fairyland.
