Oben Restaurant.
« on: September 08, 2015, 22:23:11 PM »
Went.to Oben's tonight. Very warm welcome and nice to see Efes the waiter from the Letoon still there, lovely guy.  Free bread and red dip starter.  Main course, me Piri Piri Chicken, would give it 10 out of 10.  Phil had the lamb casserole  he picked out a few lumps of fat so 7 out of 10 from him.  We fed the fat to the kittens that were around the tables. House red wine not good 4 out of 10.
Owner came around all the tables and spoke to everyone which we thought was really a nice touch.  Plenty of people in there and lots seem to be regulars.
Overall a nice place to eat and we will go back.
No napkins though.

Jacqui - "the little guy from Letoon" is Efehan Kocaman, Efe for short not Efes.

I forgot to say this was the cheapest meal we had since being here this week.   Two main courses one G.&.T (normal tonic) one glass of wine two Efes.  total 82 TL.  This was very good value as the main courses are  really big.

We've had some lovely food there too, plus we love sitting on the front with our chilled drinks just watching the world walk by.  8)

Surely that is not the fault of the restaurant, but the customers who feed them.
