A second explosion is being reported in southern Turkey targeting a Military convoy. Reports of 7 dead at the moment.  BBC News.

The BBC is actually saying SOUTH EAST Turkey. Between Diayarbakir and Bingol. It is miles and miles away from Fethiye and Calis, and also close to the area the FCO have been advising against travel for some time.

The banner moving across the screen on BBC News read "Southern Turkey " and did not mention any districts.

Either way will be of little interest to the victims.  Terrible.

Hence the reason why I checked a bit deeper before posting. The BBC and other organisations do themselves no favours with sensationalist headlines like this, when the fuller story is also on their websites.

Selective snippets like the BBC banner are only helping the final nail in Scunner's cartoon!

The South East is still "Southern" Turkey - plus, the BBC is not an organisation you could accuse of being sensationalist, in fact the opposite is a truer description.

Breaking News banners only give a brief summary of events, the facts catch up later.

The Hurriet Daily News are still reporting 6 dead.  So take your pick.

It's interesting how quickly the Government are connecting the YPG, PKK & Syrian Government to the Ankara blast.

Is it to make a case for---------------------- ??                ;)

YPD have come out and said it wasn't the YPG - they're usually pretty quick to claim responsibility for attacks against military targets, which many would see this as being.

So who does that leave us with...?

Unfortunately, due in large measures to Reg, it is an increasingly growing list!

Having said that, can't help but think that the dark figures in the Turkish Security have their bloody hands in this somewhere too!  May be I have been here too long, as I am beginning to see a conspiracy in each tragic event taking place in and around Turkey these days... am I wrong?

I don't think Putin would need to, he's got Reg boxed I think. Reg called for everyone to send in ground forces and got no response.
If he puts planes over Syria they'll be downed so he's bombing the PKK in Iraq to flex his muscles. I think his only option in Syria is
shelling from within Turkey, which is what he is doing.
