Our Winter stay at Fethiye hotels
« on: February 16, 2017, 08:39:39 AM »
Orka/Carnival Modern btq htl,the most central of the 3hrs we stayed at.When staying there is a 25%disc against lunch and evening food.
We repeated Our stay at the end of our hol and later valentines day had their 5 course eve dinner (including succulent rack of lamb) set menu incl 2 glasses of wine for75tl.
Yacht classic again a modern htl (previous guests incl Sam Mendes,Daniel Craig and recently Russel Crowe).Excellent evening meal, could not fault the quality or quantity at affordable price.
We repeated the evening meal, see Ece Saray.
Ece Saray gave the feel of a traditional up market welcoming htl.Lots of maple/birds eye, quality carpets, and very spacious public areas.Best breakfast taken on roof terrace, sadly for evening meals they would be taken off the main building,on a winter evening this felt remote and so we dined at Y.C again.
Next time we stay we would request a room with full shower rather than a bath/shower option.
Overall all hotel's gave us spacious bedrooms with waterfront views and breakfast.
Prices ranged from 40/50pounds sterling. Our exchange rates were 4.71/4.60
We would not hesitate to recommend all 3htls.

Very interesting, perhaps try the Unique next time.  It won the award for the best boutique hotel in Europe last year and is getting great feed back.

Only the ground floor rooms at the Ecesaray have just walk in showers, all rooms on the higher floors have baths with showers over.
Unique is a lovely hotel, accommodation very comfortable, but dye to the location, at some times of the year, the sun, if it is out,!, is limited. The public areas in both the Yacht Classic and Ecesaray do not suffer from this.
Only the Ecesaray has rooms that all have seaview, so maybe a consideration when booking other hotels and check your room does have a seaview.

Interesting post Dave thanks.

Must say breakfast on the roof at the Ece Saray is one of our most favouritest starts to the day in Turkey ever.

Kevin weather was particularly good to us, 16 out of the 18 days were full sun with beautiful blue sky.Although our trip from Antalya gave evidence of plenty of snow that had fallen previously.
In the past we have broken our journey with stops at Lara Beach however with our reduced stay it gave us the opportunity to experience what was on offer closer to our home.
Jacqui we did consider Unique but presently my wife would have had difficulty with the slope up to the hotel, whereas the other three were easy accessible/dolmush friendly.
Lissa thanks for info re floor position with the walk in showers.
Keith, well trust you to have found the best breakfast!! It's only taken us 19 yrs!!
