Well I managed to grow parsnips this year to enjoy with our a101 Turkey,  Not as long as I would of liked but big enough, This years swedes not big enough to lift yet, Will be trying to grow a lot more for December 2019

Have a shufti on Youtube Lee - plenty of info. about how to grow long straight parsnips. I've  seen specimen results with root vegetables such as leeks, carrots and parsnips all grown in tubes. Good luck next season!

Have started saving loo roll tubes & kitchen roll tubes to try & grow straighter / longer parsnips next time,  fingers crossed.

Weather forecast we might see snow on Friday !!!

Hoping to start chillies from seed next weekend & plân to start runner beans early february.
