Good morning to all members.
My name is Anthony and I am the booking manager for Thomas Cook.
Over the past month, I have been reading some very detrimental remarks regarding our service. Numerous members have also emailed us to complain.
On Friday March 31st, the management of Thomas Cook met to discuss these complaints and the adverse publicity we have received from this forum..
The outcome of this meeting is, Thomas Cook are to cease all flights to Dalaman International Airport forthwith.
All customers who have booked flights with us will be contacted and reimbursed in due course.
The Board of Directors wish to state that this decision has not been taken lightly, but feel that to maintain the good name of Thomas Cook it had no alternative but to take these drastic measures.
They would also like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Regards
Anthony Faraday

This is no April Fool, if you have booked a flight through ourselves, telephone me via the number on page 1 of your documentatiion, stating the lead name, Departure and Desination Airports and the dates of travel.
I will then verify your cancellation.

I'm with you Linda

Firstly, the booking manager would not come onto a forum and open up a discussion further on the matter.

Secondly, we would expect at least the marketing / legal manager

Todays date may be a coincidence

Thirdly, if all airlines were to cancel flights based on a few complaints then they would be out of business. Are Thomas cook going to stop all of their holidays to Turkey as well that use these flights?

Nice try, good wind up but (marked in red pen) 'must try harder'

Steve

Damn, i got an email from Thomas cook saying that they have cancelled our flight and that i can`t have an alternative date because they have cancelled all flights to Dalaman.
I emailed them back asking why they were still advertising flights on their website, the reply i got was, "our webmaster only works mon - fri, so the website will not be updated until monday at the earliest".

Last year I brought some issues raised on this forum to the attention of the marketing director at Excel, they also took some "drastic action" They listened, responded and improved !

Please rememer that Excel continue to support this forum by extending their £15 per seat discount, to claim it, enter the word CALBHTURK into the box marked promotional code on their site.

I'm with you Linda on this one

Oh bugger it.
I`ve been planning this one for a month.
Still, there`s always next year.
