rubbish dumping on the Uzumlu road
« on: October 28, 2012, 14:43:21 PM »
The drive down from Uzumlu to Fethiye is beautiful, unfortunately due to the dumping of vast quantiities of rubbish on the right hand side it is spoiling this truely spectacular landscape. The rubbish now spreads over several miles. It looks to be mainly  lorry loads of builders rubbish, but not all of it is. Why is this continually allowed to happen why is no action taken against these rogue builders?  More and more of this garbage has been tipped this year. Turkish residents and expats alike are appalled by it so why is it not dealt with by whichever council is responsible for this area, or is it Ormond land? As we live in a famous tourist area known as the "jewel in the crown" why not keep it clean and let its beauty sparkle and not tarnish its image.
