Looking for Property
« on: September 16, 2016, 14:46:04 PM »
Will be visiting Uzumlu in a couple of weeks to view a 2 bed villa, and was wondering if anyone on the forum has a property for sale in the area.  Would prefer a minimum of 2 beds/2baths at a maximum of £55,000, do any of the members have or know of any private sales like this in the area, many thanks

Sharon  :)

Try Cenk at Interturk Estates.  However, £55,000 sounds a little cheap for a two bed two bathroom villa.

Quite a few two bed/bath properties for sale sub £60k with different agents - it would appear to be a buyers market up there, makes you wonder why?

If you're a cash buyer I'd bet there's a few outside your price range that would take an offer.

I looked at a few Turkish Estate agencies but did not see any as cheap as £55,000. However, if the English Agents are selling them and there are a few for sale, I would wonder why there are so cheap in Uzumlu??
I know there is a three bedroom villa for sale near us  and they have turned down £115,000 because they want £125.000.

I like this one,http://www.rightmove.co.uk/overseas-property/property-61810112.html. Ilhan at Select property is really good too.

A property is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Depending on the circumstances of the vendor there can be a very wide difference between the selling prices of what appears to be very similar properties. I would guess that with the current apparent unease of a lot of expats there are serious bargains to be had at the moment.  :( 8)

From my experience of expats in Uzumlu there is no unease. My son has been looking recently and the prices are holding steady.
