Syria via Turkey
« on: July 09, 2014, 19:29:54 PM »
Sadly many fanatics who wish to involve themselves in the situation in Syria are flying from the UK to Turkey and then making their way to Syria.  The US who quickly start to 'quake in their shoes' at the mention of terrorism, have implemented new restrictions on people travelling to the US - smart phones, laptops and tablets must be fully charged and be able to be switched on at the airport for security checks.  The UK government have now extended this new check to take in other countries, one of which is Turkey.  People travelling out of and into the UK will have to ensure that their electrical gadgets are fully charged on arrival at UK airports.  Yet again, innocent travellers are going to be inconvenienced as a result of fanatics.  Yes, many will say "better safe than sorry" but fanatics will always strive to find a way to cause mayhem, which invariably causes disruption and additional costs to the people who just want a wee holiday.  We live in sad times.   :(

As regards Syria, there are many fanatics already living within this country's borders...  the major problem is they are in positions of (serious) power.  We are living in sad times for Turkey.

Funny though, they insist that you show you can turn on your phone and as soon as you get on a plane they insist that you turn it off !
