Title: Weeds and Dogs
Post by: karaokemark on July 23, 2009, 08:33:16 AM
My neighbour has a lot of gravel in her garden, loads of weeds and grass is coming through, does anyone know of a weedkiller she can use which will not harm her dog.
thanks Mark

Round Up Mark is very good as a TOTAL weedkiller, when it touchres the ground it becomes inactive....as far as i know its animal and children "friendly"...although after spraying i would keep animals away from the area treated for a couple of hours to be safe...its available both here in Turkey and in UK...hope this helps!!

We've got 4 dogs and I use RoundUp to kill weeds. I generally use it in the late afternoon so that it has a few hours to work and then allow the dogs onto the area that I've treated the following morning.

We use Roundup too.  We have a cat and usually just keep her in for an hour.  We also have two wild rabbits who now live on our lawn and are very tolerant of us!! (very handy for keeping the grass down).  I suspect we will have a lot more shortly if the rabbits live up to there reputation.
