With dinner half cooked tonight, the gas bottle ran out about 10 minutes after the cannon went off, so I couldn't even get an answer from either of the gas companies I have numbers for.
I took myself off to the Shaka & whilst sitting enjoying the views, there was a fair amount of activity along the prom. Eventually, 4 mounted police came along accompanied by motorbike outriders & official & unofficial photographers. I had read somewhere they were coming, but guess that this must have been one of their first proper outings. Must say that those horses are big b*****s, put thankfully seemed docile enough, as there were any number of kids trying to stroke them.
