Well, we did it ......

Insects as large as a toddler's hand. Freaky as hell looking insects. Insects you can HEAR landing. Insects you can hear flying towards you from many meters away. Insects that bite and sting and keep you awake at night as you scratch your skin off.
I will counteract these moany observations in my next post.

I'm supposed to be clearing out another cupboard or sorting through 20 years of stuff from the grip of a shoe fetish but I fell upon this, and boy, how fabulous a way to be distracted. We will be moving to Turkey Later this year, hence the sorting and crying over 'so many shoes, not enough feet'. I really would like to bring the fabulous 6 inch stilettos I wore once in 2003 or the huge heels I wore for my wedding in 2012, anyway, I digress. Thank you for the wonderful words on you're journey so far, Menthol, very  entertaining

My pleasure, JaqDav. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's always really surprising to hear people actually spent time reading the stuff I write.

And as a helpful tip - you don't need heels. Maybe one pair of 'dress up' shoes and the rest need to be as comfortable and easy to walk in as you can possibly manage. (Remember how uneven the pavements are/how hot it gets/how many times you have to take them off and put them on again).

I'm also fond of shoes, it has been said. This has now evolved into a love of the well padded flip-flop.
