The recent weather
« on: June 04, 2010, 06:56:01 AM »
In the twelve years we have been coming to this area of Turkey, we have never until now experienced such indifferent weather as we have these last few weeks, for this time of year :-\ This latest bad spell has now lasted virtually  a week here in Hisaronu.
We had fires at night right up to May 31st, and now day after day of cloudy skies :-\
Anyone else remember weather in the past here to compare with this currently poor  `late May `early June` ?

According to the weather on my iPhone for Fethiye, it says it has been in the 80's and sunny? Is that not right? if not, i'm over in 2 weeks, hope it improves! :)

The iPhone weather is a little out. Today is cloudy not as shown on iPhone. Same has been so for last two days. Last night at 11pm in Hisaronu the led temperature sign near the taxi rank read 21 degrees. It was nowhere near that and was a little chilly
having said that there are lots of sunburned people still walking about!

We have been coming for around 23 years always at this time and I have never seen it like this.

i think it may have something to do with volcanic dust in the atmosphere.

Forcast is for rain on Sunday, so that might clear the skies

I agree it certainly is very strange weather ... none of the weather forecasts seem to reflect the weather conditions at the moment. A couple of days of it I can cope with ... good for getting jobs done etc. but I've had enough now and want some sun back!
