Can you hire the bowls or do we have to bring our own. This would increase the weight of luggage quite a lot. Coming over in April..hope to see you then

Is this the same Bowls Club where the English chappie with the original idea was "Ripped Off" after spending a lot of money on the project?
I am not accusing any-one, I would just like to know before I take up the opportunity to participate in what used to be one of my favourite past-times.:D 8)

I note you don't actually say that the two successive years they won it were while you were playing  :)

Good luck to all for this new venture, be it "flat" or indeed "crown".

Hi Crabbit

Got a challenge for you do you fancy a match with one of our members who was captain of The George and Dragon Team - Hyde who won the British Team Championship in 1989 and who was in the Bass Masters Challenge Match on T.V.  Would like to say that most our members are regular players or complete novices.  It sounds like you are an excellent player and wondered if you fancy a challenge.

Hi Barbara
If they had a crown green club over here, I would love to accept your challenge.

Crabbit,

we could play a team game, I am coming over in June with 2 lap dancers that always feel the need to entertain throughout the day. They insist on wearing skimpy bikini's and that does not include tops, they will fetch beer when you want it or whatever takes your fancy.: :) ;)

The only bad thing is that they insist on you standing directly behind them whilst they are bowling so that you can give them guidance, and give them hand on instruction if you feel the need would benefit their game.:D

Oh, I don't think we will win but we will have more fun! lol:P:D

crabbit the challenge to you is, you say you like crown green, well so do I. At the side of the flat green there is enough land  35 x 30 to have a crown green. If you can get enough interest you will have your crown green on your doorstep. As they say , the jack is in your hand.Meeting today at Oykun 2pm, come and have a look and introduce yourself to Mike.

Can we just come along for a game or do we have to become members? As we don't live in Turkey, membership would seem to be a bit of a waste of money. This is my first season bowling and I am hooked and can't imagine two weeks without a "roll up".
