Fethiyespor rounded off their pre-season friendlies with a creditable 1-0 loss away to Super Lig side Antalyaspor on Monday night. However of the 5 friendlies played Fethiye managed only 1 victory and scored only 1 goal. Fethiye have also added to their foreign contingent of players by signing a new goalkeeper, from Azerbaijan, who joins an Albanian midfielder and a Cameroonian central defender. One player not joining the club is Irishman John McGrath who was on trail for the team in June but has now signed a one year deal with non league Alfreton Town.
Fethiye start the new season on Sunday, away at 1461 Trabzon, KO at 4.00pm.

Fethiyespor started life in PTT Lig 1 with an entertaining 2-3 defeat at Trabzon.Fethiye were 1-0 down after only 70 seconds when Sabri Turgut headed straight to a Trabzon player whose shot deflected off his leg into the net.Trabzon went  2-0 up after 49 minutes, but captain Turkkan scored with a header just 2 minutes later.Trabzon made it 3-1 on 66 mins but Onur Okan slotted home after 74 mins.Fethiye had a good chance to snatch a draw in the last minute but Emre Okur couldnt get enough on a teasing Okan free kick.
Fethiye only started with 4 of last seasons play-off team plus captain Turkkan who missed the play-offs through injury.Of the new boys Albanian, Krasniqi stood out forming a strong partnership in midfield with Turkkan.
Fethiye are at home next Sunday evening to newly promoted Balikesirspor who got their campaign off to a winning start with a 1-0 home victory.KO is 20.00.

Fethiyespor had a night to forget as they made their home debut in Lig 1 last night. They were trounced 4-0 by fellow newcomers Balikesirspor and down to 10 men after only 65 minutes before the match was abandoned after the referee was hit on the head by a missile thrown from the crowd. The TFF will now have to decide what the outcome will be, but Balikesirspor should be awarded the points and Fethiye's home game on the 15th Sept will probably be played behind closed doors.
Fethiye were second best before the sending off and the visitors had the man of the match in Ghanain Kwame Karikari who scored 2 and made one.Fethiye are away to Samsunspor next Sunday.

Fethiyespor slumped to another defeat last night losing 2_0 away to Samsunspor,. This already puts Fethiye at the bottom of the table along with Adanaspor who are the only teams in the league without a point.Fethiye are at home this weekend to Bucaspor ,but due to the crowd trouble in the last home game, the next 2 home games can only be watched by women and children.TIme for you to look out your shorts and old school tie Tinks  ;)

I feel this season, and at the end of the season.. it will all end in tears for Fethiyesport  :(  and  all this thats happening now for the club, so soon after  that illustrious ending to last season   :(
and why punish the fans ???  cant they `home in` on the guy responsble for the missile incident ??? and punish him or them ?? in the uk of course cctv cameras might  have helped  expose the thug (s)...  or some fan or fans might shop him or them to the authorities.. but as always we must  remember that `this is Turkey`and this must be how they punish...    shame ....as me and a couple of thousand supporters are very disappointed by all this  and missing two home games ... and I  go back to the uk at end of October  :(

Also strange for me is ( I watch two teams during the course of the year Cheltenam Town and Fethiyesport )   and for the last  three seasons they  have both `mirrored ` each other  with their league positions and performances  :o  its really weird .. even to the play offs finals  last season, only difference  being Cheltenham lost in the play offs....    and yep !!!!  Cheltenham are also equal bottom of division 2 at the moment, so here we go again  : :)

Thanks for that Simon. Disregard my previous post about the Cinema showing the game. When I went in to ask how much the tickets were, they said they were not showing the match. The poster outside with all the upcoming Films was just to advertise the game that most people will not be able to go and see.  :(

Fethiyespor gained their first points of the season with a rather flattering 4-0 win over Bucaspor this evening.Roared on by all the women and children packed into the main grandstand,Fethiye took the lead on 15 minutes with recent signing Artun Akcakin scoring. However Bucaspor were the better side and debutant goalkeeper Sammy N'djock was by far the busier goalie.
However goals from second half substitutes Emre Okur on 72 mins and Ahmet Aras on 80 mins sealed the win for Fethiye.A superb free kick from Onur Okan one minute from time was the icing on the cake.Fethiye move up the table to 15th but have a difficult away trip on Wednesday to play 5th placed Ankaraspor.

Fethiyespor succumbed to another defeat this evening at the hands of high flying Ankaraspor, losing 2-1 in the capital.Ankara were 2-0 up at half time before Artun Akcakin scored his second goal in 2 games to reduce the deficit.A late red card for Ufuk Bayraktar means he misses Sunday's home game against Sanliurfaspor which is again to be played in front of women and children only.Fethiye are now down to 17th in the table.

Fethiyespor lost for the second time in 5 days, going down to a 3-1 home defeat to Sanliurfaspor this evening.Sanliurfa were home and hosed by half time,2-0 up and having missed a penalty.Captain Onur Okan gave Fethiye some hope with a goal on 51 minutes then 5 miutes later had his penalty kick saved by the keeper.Sanliurfa were reduced to 10 men after 65 minutes and then scored their third 10 minutes later.Onur Okan was then sent off after 89 minutes having received his 2nd yellow card of the evening.
Fethiye are now down to 18th on 3 points and are away at Adanaspor next weekend. On Wednesday evening Fethiye are at home in the 2nd round of the Turkish Cup playing Lig 3 side Kizilcabolukspor.  :)

After a goal less first half Adana took the lead on 74 minutes. However striker Artun Akcakin equalised with his 4th goal of the season, six minutes from time.A tough home game for Fethiye next Sunday against 3rd placed Mersin, who were relegated from the Super Lig last season.K.O. is at 19.00.

Fethiyespor produced a rather lacklustre performance this evening, losing 1-0 at home to Mersin. The visitors scored just on the stroke of half time and but for some fine saves from keeper Sammy Ndjock, and some poor finishing, could have had a few more.Fethiye are now down to 18th in the league and face another relegated team from the Super Lig in 2 weeks time, away at Orduspor.

Fethiye were again reduced to 10 men in the 80th minute when Birol Parlak received a 2nd yellow card.Ordu sealed the win with their 2nd penalty of the game in the 92nd minute and go top of Lig 1.Fethiye remain 2nd from bottom.A home game next Saturday against Karsiyaka with a 19.00 K.O.

Another poor home performance saw Fethiyespor lose 3-0 at home to Karsiyaka this evening.Again 2 penalties were conceded, this week within the first 16 minutes and the visitors from Izmir went into the break 2-0 up.Fethiye gave it a go in the second half producing a series of corners, and hitting a post but Karsiyaka scored a third on 73 minutes.Fethiye are still 18th but are 4 points away from safety. The home crowd were also chanting for manager Ceviz to go.
Fethiye have a mid-week cup game in the 3rd round of the Ziraat Cup at home to 2nd Lig side Bayrampasa,K.O. at 18.00 on Wednesday.

Fethiyespor get back to the business of trying to avoid relegation this weekend with a home game against Tavsanli Linyitspor. The visitors are 2 places and 3 points ahead of Fethiye so a 2nd league win of the season would be ideal. The match is on Sunday afternoon and KO is 16.30.Anyone going to the game who normally sits in the Marathon Stand, please note it will be closed due to the addition of a roof.

Another home game against a team in the relegation zone, another 2-2 draw.Fethiyespor hosted Tavsanli this afternoon and it only took 12 minutes for the visitors to go 1-0 up, from a free kick.Fethiye came roaring back with 2 goals in 3 minutes from Aras (his 3rd goal in 3 games) and Karisik. However the visitors scored again on 31 minutes to make it 2-2.Tavsanli had several chances to win it in the second half, hitting the woodwork twice but it was a point each for both sides.Fethiye remain 19th on 6 points,Tavsanli 17th on 9.
No game for Fethiye next weekend as its their bye week, but 2 big away games the following week.On Wednesday 4th, away to Super Lig leaders Fenerbache in the Ziraat Cup followed on Sunday by a local derby at Denizli in the league.

I was wrong. ;DThe David and Goliath Ziraat Cup 4th round tie went the way of David, with Fethiyespor winning 2-1 in Istanbul tonight.Fenerbache led 1-0 at half time thanks to a Sabri Turgut own goal. However a header from captain Onur Okan on 77 mins and a shot under the keeper from Ahmet Aras on 83 mins gave Fethiye a famous victory.
Hopefully this win will be the spark to ignite their league form ahead of the local derby at Denizli on Sunday.

My son predicted they would win 2-1 so I signed up with William Hill and bet £5 that this would happen and have won £170!
Oh and £20 cash back for doing it via Quidco.

When the 3rd and 4th Fethiye goals went in I was shouting at the tele! thank god they were offside.

My son wants 8% for the tip off now.
Can't get any of the money as I need to verify with William Hill that I'm over 18.

Strangely I didnt have to verify my age when they took my money.

Was a great game, hope the next round is at home.

The 5th round is only a fortnight away, matches to be played over 17th-19th December.Fenerbache were not the only high profile casualties as Trabzonspor went out and Galatasaray only went through on penalties, both against lower league teams.
The headline in one of this mornings sports paper declares Fethiye disaster;11 dead,25 million injured!
Home or Away against Antalyaspor in the next round for me please.  :)

Christmas has come early for you S/Simon.
Following on from their amazing victory at Fenerbache on Wednesday night,Fethiyespor went goal crazy this afternoon winning 5-1,yes thats right 5-1 at Denizlispor. The score was 0-0 after an hour before Ahmet Aras opened the scoring on 61 mins with another 10 mins later.Krasniqi got the third before Denizli pulled one back.Fethiye then scored 2 more in injury time through Ozturk and Karisik for their 1st league away win of the season and move off the bottom of the table.
The new look Fethiyespor are at home on Saturday evening (ko 19.00) to Adana Demirspor who beat Fethiye in the 2012 play-off final ,at Denizlispor's ground.

Amazing what a victory at Fenerbache can do for a teams confidence! On a freezing cold night,a packed, noisy crowd saw Fethiyespor make it 3 wins in 11 days as they beat Adana Demirspor 2-1. Emre Okur opened the scoring on 28 mins with a fantastic curling shot round the keeper.Adana were level after just 3 mins before Onur Okan restored Fethiye's lead 2 mins before half time.
On 70 mins Emre Ozturk was shown a 2nd yellow card and Fethiye had to play the last 20 mins with 10 men. However Adana couldnt find a 2nd goal and Fethiye got the 3 points.Fethiye up to 17th on 12 points, just 3 points behind next weeks opponents Boluspor.
Before that,on Wednesday evening Fethiye play their 5th round Ziraat Cup tie away at Eskisehirspor.

Fethiyespor survived half their Ziraat Cup 5th round tie this afternoon against Eskisehirspor. Despite the hosts hitting the Fethiye crossbar after just 25 seconds,Fethiye more than held their own against their Super Lig opponents. In fact Fethiye probably had the best chance of the 1st half when Kenan Karisik produced a smart save from the Eskisehir keeper.
However due to a power cut in Eskisehir the match was abandoned at half time and the 2nd half will be played tomorrow,KO at 13.00.

I always understood that if a game was abandoned before 70 minutes it had to be replayed, if it was after 70 minutes the result stood?

So with the Galatasaray game last week resuming on 32 mins the next day and now Fethiyespor tomorrow at half time, what happens if one of the players is ill or falls down the stairs overnight?

Time to consult the laws of football!

So does that mean today's abandoned Sheffield Wednesday match (at 59 mins) will be re-played? Cos people are saying they've now lost their game in hand ..... confused.

Fethiyespors cup dream ended within 5 minutes of the restart of their cup game this afternoon.Eskisehir scored twice on 48 and 50 minutes and added a third in injury time for a comfortable victory.Fethiye return to league action on Sunday away to Boluspor who also bowed out of the Ziraat Cup yesterday losing 1-0 to Antalyaspor after extra time.

The hosts took the lead after just 5 minutes but then kindly equalised for Fethiye with an own goal 10 minutes later.Fethiye remain in 17th place in the league with 13 points.A home game to come next Saturday against mid table Gaziantep, the last before the winter break.KO is 19.oo.

Fethiyespor finished off the first half of their season with a 1-1 draw this evening at home to Gaziantep. On a difficult pitch, following 5 hours of heavy rain there was no score in an even first half. However within 2 minutes of the restart Artun Akcakin put Fethiye in front with a curling shot from the right hand side of the box.Ahmet Aras missed a glorious chance to make it 2-0 on the hour mark before Gaziantep scored 15 minutes from time.Fethiye remain in 17th on 14 points.

Title: Re: Fethiyespor 2013/2014
Post by: yabanci on December 29, 2013, 11:16:47 AM
Usually its the bottom 3 teams relegated from Lig 1 Ian. As to whether Fethiye can manage to stay up, I think a lot depends on new boss Engin Ipekoglu and if he can keep on getting the results he has been getting since he took over.In his 4 games so far he has managed 2 wins and 2 draws and 8 points. If Fethiye had that return from the whole season they would be 3rd instead of 3rd bottom.
So 3 points from their first match, after the break,at home to 1461 Trabzon on 12th Jan is a must I feel.

Manager Engin Ipekoglu has been busy in the transfer market this week shipping out 3 players and signing 2 new ones in an attempt to plug the leaky Fethiyespor defence. The team has the joint worst record in their league conceding 36 goals in 18 games. In come Croatian centre half Nikola Zizic from Antalyaspor and another centre half,Ibrahim Surgulu from Sivasspor.Interesting to see if one or both make the team for Sunday afternoons game.

Fethiyespor made it 6 games unbeaten with a 4-0 thumping of 1461 Trabzon this afternoon.Only 90 seconds had gone before Fethiye took the lead.New signing Zizic with a huge punt downfield that bounced over the keeper and into the net. Akcakin made it 2-0 after 14 mins and Kenan Karisik made it 3-0 after half an hour.Ahmet Aras scored the 4th,6 minutes from time.Fethiye move up a place to 16th with that win and are away at Balikesirspor next weekend.

Fethiyespor are officially my second team now. I didn't get a "pass" to see them play last August (the abandoned crowd trouble one), but will have a go again this year (Some luck required with fixtures - I need a home game on weekend of 16th-17th August).

I was astonished and delighted when I heard they beat Fenerbahce away and managed to stream the first half of the Eskisehirspor match (the one that was played over two days).

Anyway, I hope they can keep this form going - that new coach certainly seems to be having an effect.

P.S. Want to know why Trabzonspor play in claret and blue?

Former Villa secretary Steve Stride's role as a UEFA delegate took him back to Turkey - and he discovered that we were the inspiration behind Trabzonspor's claret-and-blue kit.

During the official lunch ahead of the Trabzonspor v Apollon Limassol Europa League match, the host club's president gave Steve a special mention.

Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu pointed out that when his club were formed in 1967 they were so short of money they had no kit.

They contacted a number of clubs in Europe and Villa were the only ones to respond, sending a full set.

"I have seen theories on why Trabzonspor wear claret and blue but I'd near heard this, even when we played them in the UEFA Cup in 1994" said Steve.

"But the president assured me it's a fact."

The club also presented Steve with a shirt.

The number, by the way, is associated with the city of Trabzon. All cars registered there have the prefix 61.

Despite the addition of 2 new central defenders and keeping only their 2nd clean sheet of the season last week,Fethiyespor have now added a further 3 defenders to their squad this week. Right backs Tunay Acar and Serkan Sehin (both who have represented Turkey at U21 level) have signed from Super Lig sides Bursaspor and Konyaspor respectively and from Germany in comes 21 year old left back Mizgin Demir.
Fethiye have 2 tough looking games coming up,away to 4th placed Balikesirspor this Sunday and then the week after,at home to 7th placed Samsunspor.

And thats the way it stayed, so Fethiyespors unbeaten run is now up to 8 games. On a rain sodden pitch the visitors had by far the better first half, but the second half was nearly all Fethiyespor, but without any real clear cut chances.Fethiye had a scare right at the end when keeper Sammy Njocks drop kick was charged down by a Samsunspor forward and the ball going in the net.The ref seemed to give the goal before changing his mind and giving a free kick to Fethiye. So 0-0 it finished and Fethiye move up to 15th with 19 points.Away at 13th placed Bucaspor next weekend.

Fethiye played well and should have won this home game on their attacking play.
But despite their possession Fethiye's goalkeeper made a terrific save from a point-blank header. The home defence seem to have improved with the arrival of their new manager as well as new signings.

Did not see anything wrong with the "goal" scored by Samsunspor which was disallowed. In the final 3 minutes of injury time Fethiye's keeper kicked the ball from his hand in a hurried attempt to send the ball upfield. An opposing player was at least 1 metre (perhaps 2 m) from the keeper's clearance and the ball struck his raised boot and ended up in the Fethiye net.

Lucky escape ---hope they carry that bit of luck along with a few more victories to ensure their safety for this season.

Absolutely amazing second half. Ankara pulled one back and then proceeded to lay siege to Ferthiyespor's goal. Only desperate defending and a couple of glaring misses stopped the equalizer going in. Ankaraspor were looking better and fitter, but were leaving holes at the back. Fethiyespor hit them a couple of times on the break and finally, with 40 seconds left and the Ankaraspor keeper stranded miles outside of his area, Ozturk nipped in front of him and scored from about 40 yards.

Thrilling match, 'triffic.

Hi Yabanci... I  did not know that last nights game was `all ticket` and my only option was to pay 5 lira and sit behind the goal ( being behind the goal is my least favourite watching position ) so I sat there with the   few Adana  fans  lol   ... so my question to you is  ? how can I  obtain tickets  for future games in the `main ` stand  please ?   and where do I  go to purchase them ?   yes last nights game was throwing away a golden opportunity to broaden the gap in points... a match that now could be pivotal in their quest to stay up :-(       In fairness Fethiye were poor most of last night and didnt `work` the Adana keeper enough. A bit better in the second half but too little too late...  and with a noisy `full house`... 10,000  there last night ... what a chance wasted  :-(

Fethiyespor threw away a glorious chance of all 3 points against high flying Orduspor this afternoon.2-0 up at half time through goals by Aras and Parlak looked to have given Fethiye their first win in 3 games. However a deflected free kick on 52 mins and a goal direct from a corner on 69 mins gave Ordu a share of the points.Fethiye move up to 15th on 26 points but all the other teams around them play later or tomorrow.Fethiye are away at mid-table Karsiyaka next Sunday evening.

Great stuff, cheers yabanci. The match against Ankaraspor that I saw a few weeks back was great entertainment. The supporters were also entertaining in their own right.

Fethiyespor have a great chance to put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone when they face Manisaspor this evening. With none of the other 7 teams in the bottom 8 winning over the weekend Fethiye remain 1 point and 1 place above the drop zone and a win tonight would see them move up the table to 12th.The visitors, although currently 7th are on a poor run of form with 5 defeats in their last 6 games, but did inflict Fethiye's heaviest defeat of the season in November winning 5-1.Kick off is 8.00 pm tonight.

Fethiyespor missed the chance to move away from the relegation zone after a 1-0 home defeat to Manisaspor this evening.A blunder by keeper Sammy Ndjock after 15 mins when he missed a cross into the box led to the visitors taking the lead.Fethiye were poor in the 1st half but were much the better side in the 2nd and had a couple of good chances but couldnt grab an equaliser.Fethiye are away at bottom side Kahramanmaras on Sunday afternoon with the hosts 14 points adrift, at the bottom of Lig 1.

Agree with your summary completely Yabanci.  Schoolboy error from the keeper  :-(   plus a squandered  chance or two to make it 1-1 in the second half :-(      Why is it almost everytime I  watch them play Fethiyespor   come away with nothing  ?    I have now watched them nine times and I have only  seen them get one draw and one win :-)
If I  stay away they just might then have a chance of survival :-).....   but I  cant    lol

I missed most of the first half because my little android streaming box kept dropping the stream and it's fiddly to reconnect, so I moved to PC for the second half. A niggly game which nearly kicked off big style towards the end. That point blank header was the golden chance, but a really frustrating match overall. I think the Fethiyespor keeper has looked ok on the few occasions I've watched him, but that was a big error.

At least Villa did Chelsea last weekend...

I  really dislike the Fethiye keepers  habit of moving around well out of his penalty box during play.. sometimes during play he is nearer the half way line !!!!!  ... he really makes me nervous watching him... as surely enterprising attacking players are going to  try lobbing the ball well over his head into an empty net..

The first half was as good as it got for Fethiyespor this evening as a break-away goal 2 mins into the second half and a second mid way through the half saw leaders Istanbul extend their lead at the top.Fethiye remain in 14th on 32 points, still 4 points above the relegation zone, before tomorrows games.
A 6 pointer next Sunday with Fethiye away at 2nd from bottom Tavsanli who are 4 points and 4 places behind Fethiye.

I knew I should have   listened to you Yabanci and stayed away  tonight   :-)  ..... I am a bad luck jinx on the club   havent seen them get a positive result at home now since last september ...  in the first half there was not a lot between the two teams..  but the `finishing` from Istanbul with the two goals was the difference...   dont think we should have got that penalty claim, and from where I  was sat the other incident with the goal claim..I  am sure all of the ball was not over the line... anyway good luck with the 6 pointer next week !!!

Ignore that, it should read a 6 pointer on Wednesday afternoon, away at 2nd from bottom Tavsanli. The game starts at 13.30 and is being shown live on TRT3.Fethiyespor have no game this weekend as its their bye week.

Fethiyespor did their relegation worries no good at all this afternoon losing 2-1 at Tavsanli.Despite starting the better  and hitting the post after only 3 mins, it was the home team that went ahead on 32 mins with a goal from Besler that took a deflection of Ali Dere.Tavsanli doubled their lead mid way through the 2nd half, but with 8 mins left Fethiye had a chance when Tavsanli were reduced to 10 men and Artun Akcakin got a goal back. However Fethiye couldnt get a second and so are now only 1 point above the relegation zone with 4 games left to play.

If it means me staying away ... and  Fethiyespor get something from the game .. I  might just do that as I  do seem to be a jinx...   Well sunday afternoon`s there`s generally one if not two `premiership` games on sky sports... so maybe  I  will be in a bar somewhere watching one of those games  on the day   :-)     So Fethiyespor... the way will be clear  .. go get a vital 3 points   :-)  and  lets hope it works  !!!

Sorry Yabanci, but I  could not stay away  today... yep.. I  went to the game but left at half time like many others did... The Fethiye  keepers `horrendous` mistakes yet again has probably  today sent Fethiyespor back to division 3   :-(        one `schoolboy` error is forgiveable... maybe.. ( I  remember the keepers costly `howler` two home games ago )  but two  goalkeeping blunders  and a  bad defensive   boo boo is just tooooooo   much...  shame... as I  thought, apart from the score... for half an hour Fethiye played well   ( I  llike  their  number 23 )

Yabanci, I know Turkey is a fairly racist country, and unlike the football grounds of the UK  where there`s a `keep racism out of football campaign ` one   can only imagine ...  not knowing the turkish language.. what hundreds of turks around me in the ground were shouting at the Fethiye keeper after his second howler   :-(  dont know the final result...  but surely they wont turn a 0-3 half time score around.....    ah well...  my team Cheltenham Town are only 6 points away from the drop zone.... so I  am focussed on their survival  now :-)

Denizlispor exacted revenge on Fethiyespor for the 5-1 drubbing at their ground in December by winning 4-1 at Fethiye this afternoon. As mentioned Fethiye were 3-0 down at half time due to 2 goalkeeping errors and some poor defending, which was also the cause of Denizli's fourth goal on 56 mins.Fethiye did pull one back through Ahmet Aras after 70 mins, but fellow striker Artun Akcakin missed a sitter a few minutes later which could have set up an exciting last 15 mins.
Fethiye down 1 place to 17th but are just 2 points away for safety.Fethiye are away at Adana Demirspor next weekend whilst the two sides above them play each other.
Sleuth, if you seriously think that a couple of schoolboy errors by keeper Sammy Njock are the reason behind Fethiyespor's current position think again.Look at the paltry points tally of 4 from the 1st 11 games of the season as the reason Fethiye are in the relegation zone.In the same 11 fixtures in the 2nd half of the season , with Sammy in goal Fethiye managed 15 points.

Hi Yabanci...  I  will take your word for it on that as I  missed early games as I  was back in the UK....iI  can only judge the keeper on the matches I  have seen since February and he has made three catastrophic costly blunders... and  thats what I   have judged him on.
I hope that Fethiyespor can `turn it around`... sorry my  `JINX`  at home games are continuing  :-(

Yabanci....I was speaking to a couple of turkish Fethiye fans here who endorsed  what you said about his goalkeeping merit earlier in the season...its a shame about the three very major   goalkeeping errors of late...  he has a mental problem now to get over ... loss of confidence etc  . He needs in the three remaining games to  get his head together....a couple of match saving saves    this sunday might just do the trick....    7 points out of the remaining 9  would be nice  :-)

Agree with you on that one Sleuth,7 points from the last 3 games is a must I think. That would give Fethiye 39 points which was the safety mark in Lig 1 last season.Their task on Sunday has been made a tad easier due to the fact that Adana Demirspor have to play the fixture behind closed doors due to previous crowd trouble.
Title: Re: Fethiyespor 2013/2014
Post by: yabanci on April 20, 2014, 15:34:13 PM
Fethiyespor made it 4 defeats on the trot going down 3-1 at Adana Demirspor this afternoon.Fethiye started brightly and went ahead through Krasniqi after 15 minutes. However a cross from the left that appeared to hit right back Hasan Ates's chest was deemed by the referee to be a penalty, which Adana converted right on the stroke of half time to make it 1-1.
The games second turning point came on the hour mark when the referee went back to sort out an off the ball incident between 2 players just outside the Fethiye penalty area and then red carded keeper Sammy Njock for what I assume was dissent. Adana wrapped up the 3 points with goals in the 77th and 90th minutes.
Fethiye now look to require a" Gus Poyet miracle"to avoid relegation, as with 2 games remaining they are now down to 18th and 5 points from safety.Fethiye are at home to Boluspor next Sunday with a 17.00 k.o.

Definately not going to watch Fethiyesport today as Liverpool v Chelsea much better option :-)   as for the Fethiyesport goalkeeper   :o   I cant believe his mentality  :o     after three   very costly blunders in two very important games....  to get a red card  in the following game  :o   one wonders is there `match fixing` going on ????   still cant  believe his actions  ??     ah well   the `adventure` in Div 1 is over  now for Fethiye... sad that it is... but at least next season it wont be `all ticket`  ( but the prices wont go down ) the gates will go back to a couple of thousand  .. but I  may at last see them win a few games...  albeit with a different goalkeeper  !!!!
Title: Re: Fethiyespor 2013/2014
Post by: yabanci on April 27, 2014, 18:14:00 PM
Fethiyespor kept alive their relegation survival hopes by beating a poor Boluspor side 2-0 this afternoon.Fethiye went ahead after 15 mins with an Ahmet Aras header. The same player doubled the score on 51 mins with a simple tap in, and then was denied a hat-trick by hitting a shot onto the post.Fethiye move up to 16th on 35 points.
So Fethiye's season now rests on the results of 2 games next weekend.Fethiye have to win away at Gaziantep, who themselves made sure of their Lig 1 status with a win today, and also hope that Boluspor play as bad as they did today and do not win at home to Denizli.
Umut Var Sleuth.  :)

Fethiyespor did what they had to do this evening beating Gaziantep 2-0.Second half goals from Emre Okur and Ahmet Aras securing the win. However in the other game Boluspor managed to beat Denizli 1-0 and so its Fethiye that fill the 4th relegation place as they finished 2 points behind Boluspor.
