Has it got a name that I don't know - we have been looking for: zerdeçal but without any success :(

I'm sure the spice stalls in the "Everyday Fruit & Veg Market" sell it. I've seen it in Migros in the past too.

Yes all the market stalls have it,and its marked up turmeric.

Sisters spice shop on the edge of the Fethiye fruit market, there is not much you won't find there..

I have also bought it in one of the supermarkets, but don't remember which one, but it was marked Turmeric.

Better to buy in the likes of Bim where the packet is sealed. If you buy loose, there could be crawlies in it!

Put any spices you buy loose in the freezer overnight to kill off future creepy crawlies.
